Walter’s Boda Boda City Tour of Kampala is our original and most popular tour. Experience Kampala on the back of a motorcycle known as a ‘boda boda’. You become fully immersed in the local culture driving around. There is no window frame between you and the world, so you can really hear, see, smell, and taste the sights and sounds of Kampala!
The tour lasts 3-6 hours and shows you Kampala from all directions and angles. It covers all of Kampala’s original 7 hills plus all the remaining hills – a total of 23 today.
Not only do you get to see all the best views of Kampala, but you also visit the most historical sights of Kampala plus hear the history of each location.
Tour highlights include*:
• The Beverly Hills of Kampala
• Bahai Temple
• Buganda Kingdom Tour
• The King’s Palace
• The King’s Lake
• The New Scottish Parliament
• The Museum of Buganda Kingdom
• Gadaffi Mosque
• The best view of Kampala (360°)
• View of organized chaos
• Enjoy the best local foods in town – banana beer and rolex
• And more!
*Please note: We have no one itinerary and this is NOT a comprehensive list of everywhere we visit. Every group is different and wants different experiences. To satisfy you, you set your itinerary with your guide the morning they pick you up. You will see a full list of options and can pick and choose what you want to see. And if you are overwhelmed, no problem – you can leave it to us. No matter what, we do our best to make it happen!
PS – Want to get off the boda boda and walk a bit? Click here to find out about our Kampala City Walking Tour.
PPS – Want to continue your cultural immersion after this tour? We highly, highly, highly recommend you visit Ndere Center. (Did we mention how much we highly recommend this??!) Allow the Ndere Dance Troupe take you through a tour of East Africa dances, tribes and values. This is NOT a cheesy and awkward show. We never tire of visiting!
