A bicycle safari among zebras? Yes please!

This trip can be done in 1 day (it’s long, but it’s possible) OR make it 2-3 days. Either way, this short escape is a great getaway for locals and tourists alike!

Lake Mburo is one of Uganda’s smallest national parks with rare zebras and all sorts of antelopes, including the world’s biggest antelopes called elands. You’ll also see the famous impalas, the animals that Kampala was named after.

Day 1

Depart Kampala early morning and drive to Lake Mburo National Park (approx. 2 hours). Stop at the equator (approx. 30 mins – 1 hour) to see the water experiment, enjoy coffee/tea, and shop for some souvenirs. There is an optional stop at a crocodile farm if you are interested. Arrive in Lake Mburo in the afternoon and relax.

Day 2

(If you choose a more relaxed itinerary. If not, 1 day is possible!)
After breakfast you can hop on a bicycle for a bicycle safari outside the park. You’ll drive right through zebras and antelopes, so keep your camera ready. You can also decide to enter the park for a game drive. Either way, one option is to return to Kampala this evening. You can also decide to extend this 1 day and return on day 3.
